I, Jake, worked as a full-time Content Designer for Tevalis from June 2021 to March 2022.

Tevalis are a hospitality technology company with an annual turnover of over £6m at the time of employment providing EPOS On-premise, Enterprise, Integration solutions to an array of different hospitality sectors. During this time, I worked on many projects such as the company brochure, company rebrand, trade-shows, events planning, campaigns, social media management, content strategy, content data analysis, B2B marketing strategy, UX Kiosk design and web design.  

I assisted on their B2B marketing strategy, analysed improvements, provided creative, copywriting and graphic design. I played a role in their content marketing strategy as well as supporting the larger overall marketing strategy.

 

This was all achieved by collaboratively working with the Head Of Content, Ben Firth on a day to day basis as well as senior Directors.

AN INNOVATIVE TECH COMPANY NEEDS TO LOOK INNOVATIVE

The original logo lacked versatility with the dots molded into the logo. Versatility is essential for branding usage in modern media. Therefore, I took it upon myself to pitch an idea for a new logo that will help refresh the brand and bring Tevalis into today adopting modern design trends.

A BRAND REFRESH: A MORE VERSATILE BRAND

Following on from the pitch a new logo was designed that retained the original ‘t’ of the logo and gave the company a brand refresh. The logo is now used on office signage, web, social media and other corresponding content, events and many other forms of media.

The company brochure had not been fully updated redesigned in a number of years and required a new lick of paint. All 40 pages were given a design overhaul to bring inline with a new modern, innovative direction the brand was taking, I collaborated closely with the Head of Content and Commercial Director on this project making sure it fulfilled marketing, sales and educational needs.

Many pages were brought forward from early 2010s to something you would expect to see today from a Tech company. The new brochure has played an essential role in supporting the sales team, generating thousands in revenue and will continue to increase conversions and adding value to the company for years to come.

Improving the approach to social media

Over a 5-month period from joining the content strategy and user engagement greatly improved. This was delivered by revaluating the creative, copywriting and analysing the data from testing content to create more engaging content for Linkedln and Facebook. Engagment rates and impressions were used as key metrics to analyse high-performing content. This resulting in month on month improvements.

The new strategy leveraged social proofing, clients, integrations partnerships, promotional material for shows and educational content about hospitality technology with a heavy emphasis on value propositions and talking about our stakeholders rather than ourselves.
